We will work closely with your company to develop a training course/programme that will meet your objectives.
We can then deliver this for you onsite at your premises or at our purpose built training facilities.

Here at MKOH we are fully aware of the implications of stress in the workplace and the effect it can have on your health if not correctly managed.
Stress can result in many conditions including insomnia, hypertension (high blood pressure), depression, anxiety, excessive smoking, weight gain or weight loss, alcoholism and other substance abuse, skin breakouts, and immune system problems ………..the list is endless.
Managing stress is all about taking charge. Stress management starts with identifying the sources of stress in your life.

Almost all businesses have some sort of manual handling. Avoiding manual handling by the use of machinery is always the best option however in many cases this is not always possible
Every year In the UK 1.1 million people reported that they suffered from musculoskeletal disorders caused or made worse by work. It is estimated 12.3 million working days are lost annually due to work-related musculoskeletal disorders
MKOH provide manual handling courses for employees and managers either at our purpose built training facility or delivered onsite at your company.
The course is typically half to a full day in length (depending on numbers).
MKOH also offer a ‘Train the Trainer’ course that upon completion leaves you with a certified and competent employee to conduct your manual handling requirements of the future.
Drug & Alcohol Awareness
MKOH are very aware of the increasing problems that employers face with drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
Alcohol and Drugs affect an individual’s body functions, behaviour, and personality and, subsequently their performance at work. When an employee is under the influence of drugs, or alcohol, the potential for error is increased.

Hydrofluoric Acid Handling
Hydrofluoric Acid is a highly toxic and corrosive acid. It can cause serious burns to the skin, systemic poisoning and become extremely flammable if it comes in to contact with other substances.
If inhaled it can cause fluid on the lungs and bronchitis.
If ingested it can nausea, vomiting, abdominal pains diarrhoea and mouth burns.
Exposure to Hydrofluoric Acid can ultimately lead to death.
MKOH Provide a training course to educate employers and employees about the associated risks when in contact with Hydrofluoric acid.
The course covers all aspects of dealing with the acid from understanding the acid, recognising burn symptoms, the necessary first aid treatment required, safeguarding oneself, minimising the risks, treating acid burns, record keeping of the acid through to major disaster action plans.
This is a very comprehensive 1 day course and can be delivered onsite at your company or alternatively at our purpose built training facility.
MKOH believe constant training is essential for the reduction of accident/incident rates and the occurrence of ill health in our workplaces.
As part of our on-site OH Nurse activities our Toolbox Talks can play a major role in our continuing effort to create an increased awareness of both specific hazards present in our workplaces, and the precautions which must be taken to eliminate or control them as well as general health and wellbeing promotion.
Toolbox talks address the most fundamental points of any concerning topics you may have in a practical way, engaging the individuals attending the talk. They typically last 30 – 60 minutes and as such are a quick way to inform the majority of staff without too much interruption to their busy days.
Every business has a legal obligation to inform and train their staff about the risks they may face in their working environment.
